Originally, I had planned this week to be a larger undertaking with Hipstamatic‘s D-Series RetroPak. That was abruptly interrupted when the perfect opportunity presented itself to give the new Two Rivers HipstaPak a go.
Combining the Hamilton Lens and Maple 1880 Film, Two Rivers takes photos and brushes a fresh wood style to it. I have to admit, it looks really good and I can see myself printing some of the photos from the afternoon. The one downfall, however, is the unpredictable nature of the coloured frame. Sometimes it was a scratchy white or a touch of aged yellow or an awful bright blue. A very minor complaint. I can see myself returning to the HipstaPak to see what certain photos might look like on wood.
